SABC - adding hope to local artist for radio play

It’s been now more than 3 years since I released my first vital curv album, and still couldn’t be able to appear on radio. I know my music is good, come on, it’s been produced by SA’s number one drummer!

But you all heard about the new contract of SABC with our radio stations? So, again I will try submitting my band vital curv's music for radio play. If some of you have got the time, request my music on your favourite radio station, and hopefully THAT will boost my fan base too.

And no, I didn’t forget about all of you already supporting me. A big HUG to you all!! Thank you!

This morning I woke up and realized there is so much I'm thankful for. And even though I loose hope a lot, I still have those around me to support and care. It ain't easy to be a depressed girl. Thank you Lord for lending me the people in my life that can and wants to uplift my spirit. And with this rain that's been falling the last few night. Let's pray that the Vaal Dam levels will rise again. Tonight I'm visiting Kristen to practice music. I can't wait for us to go to the studio and record and hear how it sounds. This is a new direction, a scary direction, but still an exciting one where I'm moving towards to. I hope this will be the song that will open the door for me to the music industry.

My asem verloor in die branders

Ek het nie geweet of ek kom of gaan nie. Die water het oor my gespoel soos ‘n golf met mag. Om en om het ek getol. Met elke rol het my kop teen die grond gestamp. Ek het geprobeer om te snak na asem, maar het geweet as ek my mond oop maak is dit verby. Vreemde geluide het deur my keel gegaan. My longe wou bars. Ek kon nie meer, ek kon net nie meer nie. Tyd het stil gaan staan. Minute het verby gegaan voor ek weer bo uit gekom het. Of altans dit het soos minute gevoel. Dit was sekerlik net sekonde. Hoe lank kan mens jou asem ophou as jy onverwags oorrompel word? Die see wou my nie meer gehad het nie. Hy het my uit gespoeg. Hy het van my ontslae geraak. Soos ‘n nat lap het hy met my gemaak wat hy wou. En ek kon geen verweer toon nie. Al wat oor gebly het vir my om te doen toe ek weer terug is op die strand, is om op te staan en weer in te gaan. Daai tyd het ek nie besef wat gebeur het nie. Ek moes die Here daar en dan gedank het dat Hy my van ‘n amperse dood gered het.

Bid vir daai voet in die deur

Dit gaan my verstand te bowe...  Iemand wat die musiek talent het en besluit om iets anders te doen in sy lewe, terwyl die ander van ons so hard bid net vir daai voet in die deur van die musiek bedryf. Ek het nou die besluit geneem om oor te gaan na #afrikaanse liedjies, want die radio stasies stel nie belang in my engelse rock songs nie.  Maar nou is ek op soek na iemand om die 2 liedjies te sing.  So waar begin mens soek as mens omtrent geen kontak het met die musiek bedryf nie?
